Speaking
My talks are focused on providing people with dramatic insights into how new technologies are shaping our world. I can work together with you to design a talk that will have a lasting impact on your delegates, changing the way they see the world.
I have nearly thirty years experience in the IT industry, as a director at Realtime (acquired by Datatec in 1997), as managing director for Netscape's operations in Southern Africa, and as a cofounder of Fundamo, a leading international mobile payments company, where I served as their head of strategy. The Fundamo system handles thousands of transactions a day in six countries and is the underlying backbone of the MTN Banking service in South Africa.
I have a Bcom Honours degree in Information Systems from UCT, am a member of the Computer Society of South Africa, and now work as a strategy consultant.
I have spoken at many conferences across Southern Africa, including the ICL User Conference, the CTOS User Conference (keynote speaker two years running), South African Direct Marketing Association, HP User Conference, and Didata's "Networkers" conference for their top 100 clients.
I am a member of Mensa, and appear in "Who's Who in the World". My pastimes include water sports, reading and youth ministry. I live in Knysna where I serve as an elder in the Knysna Vineyard Fellowship.
